Frank Dilella, host of On Stage on our sister network NY1, shares with us his list of shows and plays that he recommends for this week.

Welcome to Cabaret, the long-awaited and award-winning new London production has crossed the pond and is now in previews at The Kit Klub, also known as the August Wilson Theatre.

Set in 1930s Berlin, Sally Bowls keeps the party alive inside while the outside world deteriorates.

This immersive production stars Oscar and Tony winner Eddie Redmayne as The Emcee, alongside Gayle Rankin as Sally Bowls. The work officially opens on April 21.

After several sold-out performances at The Public Theater off-Broadway, SufsS has marched to The Music Box Theater!

The new musical, which focuses on the suffrage movement, is written by and stars Shaina Taub alongside Broadway favorites Jenn Colella, Nikki M. James and Emily Skinner.

The show is directed by the great Lee Silverman and is now in preview phase: the official premiere will be on April 18.

On the off-Broadway front, don’t miss “Corruption,” currently playing at Lincoln Center’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

The show explores the story behind the hacking phone scandal that rocked Rupert Murdoch’s empire. “Corruption” is written by JT Rogers and is directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher. The show will be on display until April 14.

Across the river in New Jersey, Papet Mill Playhouse is currently presenting the new musical Gun and Powder.

The exciting play is inspired by the true story of Mary and Martha Clarke, African American twins who do everything they can to pay off their mother’s debt and save their home. The musical will be on display until May 5.

And finally, pianist extraordinaire Peter Cincotti is back at The Carlyle every Monday this month tickling the ivories and singing some of the most influential tunes in American musical history and much more.
