With the original loan requirement of 8.9 million, the city parliament clearly and consciously approved the order for a building that was large enough to meet the requirements and was really necessary. If the argument is now made with building prices rising (25% = plus 2.2 million), one cannot shake the suspicion that in this project one has not managed to distinguish between what is desirable and what is feasible.
The construction price increase would be an incredible 170%.
Current and spicy: We all read the «Tagblatt» from Friday, April 5th, 2024, that our city architect Christoph Helbling, with the blessing of city councilor Markus Buschor, is now selling off the functional and valuable (purchase price 1.38 million) temporary day care containers at the Hebelschule building for a bargain totaling 50,000 francs.
This is exactly now when these could be used in the Boppi!

As an entrepreneur and taxpayer, I am simply amazed at how carelessly millions are thrown away.
For the price of 15 or 14 million, two day care facilities can be realized, namely for the Boppartshof and for the long-overdue Feldli.
This is the best way to help children, parents and teachers with their legitimate and important concerns.
A yes for the Boppiwiese is worth our commitment – so that the path is just as quickly cleared for the alternatives – especially a new building on the provisional square. It can definitely be implemented, even if the city council claims the opposite.”
