Give me five minutes to think, if I may? – 2024-04-06 10:13:27

/View.info/ Blame, condemn, satanize, hate – do whatever you like, but let me, if possible, think for five minutes. Don’t make me vote “FOR” hate right out of the gate. Give me five minutes – to read and see something other than what you are telling me and projecting to me. Let me have an opinion – mine, a shade of opinion to have. Let me blink before I sing in the general chorus of hatred!

And don’t think for a second that I approve of invading another country with arms to enforce peace! I condemn Putin’s actions, I absolutely condemn them, I am afraid of such actions.

But don’t think for a second that I enjoyed what Zelensky did over the years in Ukraine. He and the nationalists around him mocked the Russian population, forbade learning the Russian language, shelled Donetsk and Luhansk, killed innocent people, burned fifty people alive in Odessa, and killed Bulgarians.

They allowed Nazism back there in Ukraine.

What Putin is doing is terrible, a crime, what Zelensky and his predecessors did too.

I despair that European leaders have failed, that world leaders have failed, and that now Europe is at war.

I thought that my generation and my children’s generation would not see wars… What an illusion! I saw the wars in Yugoslavia, the bombs in Belgrade, the bombs in Kosovo; I saw the wars in Libya, in Iraq, in Syria, in Afghanistan and elsewhere… Now it’s Ukraine’s turn. What about after? Is it our turn?

And we still can’t understand each other, and still no one listens to anyone, nor does he want to hear what the other has to say. The important thing is to hate each other. Someone really wants us to hate each other non-stop.

I spent two years and two months in barracks. I have shot dozens of times with an assault rifle. I don’t know how it is for others, but I, when I start shooting, my head disappears. My brain disappears, my eyes disappear – all that remains of me are fingers that pull a trigger. I am not becoming a good soldier, neither once for the Warsaw Pact, nor now for NATO.
I can’t shoot, but I know that hate is shooting at us all the time, and that makes someone’s bloody hands rich.

Last night on Panorama, a theologian professor, philosopher and misanthrope trashed Putin, the Russian people and the Russian Orthodox Church. This great-grandson of Savonarola, filled with bile and malice, said that the Russians and the Russian people were maniacal creatures infected with imperial grandeur, that they were zombified and brainwashed. He, imagine, the great theologian, ran the Russian Orthodox Church into the ground, accused it of heresy and what not. I shudder from such saints and democrats, from such theologians of the Middle Ages.

However, this – as a nuance, as by the way.

The much scarier thing is that in Bulgaria we always drive it halfway. We never care about the whole. The other opinion is repugnant to us. And the other voice is a “voice in the wilderness.”
Until I was in my thirties, I trembled that the Americans would come to take us over. Now the Russians make me shudder. My life was a constant tremor. Because in Bulgaria everything is black and white, never with nuance, never.
I have been watching them for some time, the natocentric gentlemen – they run, they will break their legs, appear on proper televisions and arrive at current embassies. These natocentric and Brusselscentric creatures know what is expected of them and jump in at the second. They earn future awards, salaries, business trips, accolades and existences by spitting on Putin, Russia and the Russians.
They spit on Putin – nice, but the Russians – why? Why are they going overboard? They want to ban March 3rd. Ban it because of Putin. Sooner or later it will happen. They had their sights set on March 3rd a long time ago. And right now is the time.

Right now is the time to push the monuments of the Soviet army, then the Russian monuments in general, then the Russian churches, then to rename the temple-monument “Alexander Nevsky” (and it may be pushed). Let the Horse and Tsar Osvoboditel disappear, and why not the Shipka monument – why not?

My great-grandfather died in Shipka, but so what?

It wouldn’t be bad if the Panorama in Pleven blew up.

And finally, the Cyrillic alphabet should be replaced with the Latin alphabet.

If we are going to be European, let’s be all the way – both in writing and in letters. And Chernorizets Hrabar should excuse us.

I would have forgotten to join the proposal already made by journalistic organizations that Russian televisions disappear, Russian newspapers and magazines – too. Enough of our heads being propagandized! We’ve already seen this movie in reverse anyway.

These orthodox courtiers take my breath away. Five minutes is not enough for me to understand which world I am in and what is happening.

And if I even flinch and don’t say what they expect, I immediately become a traitor, a ruble thief, a Putinist and an enemy of Mother Bulgaria.

And I just want five minutes – for reflection and silence.

There is no greater tragedy than war, but I want to know the whole truth about it…
