The Friends of Cancer Patients Association continues its commitment to supporting cancer patients and their families, and bringing joy and happiness to their hearts, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. The association organized the distribution of Ramadan food boxes to cancer patients and survivors. In cooperation with the “Esaad Center” and the “Emirates Food Bank”, which donated 400 food boxes, the association distributed Ramadan food through the Wasit Suburb Council, and with the facilitation of the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work and the Department of Suburban Affairs in Sharjah.
In an influential initiative, the Friends of Cancer Patients Association organized the visit of a number of children with cancer to the Dubai Outlet Mall and eight other stores to buy Eid clothing that makes them happy. The association targeted 14 children and adolescents from the age group 3-18 years. To ensure an enjoyable experience, “Sharjah Children’s Centers” provided transportation, while the Sharjah Voluntary Work Center team was keen to provide coordination and support during the event, and they succeeded in bringing joy and happiness to the souls of young and young patients during the Eid celebration. The association also organized a group iftar party for a number of cancer patients and survivors this year, thanks to the generous donations from the association’s community. This great support enabled the association to host a Ramadan iftar party for 200 patients, survivors and their families at the “Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa,” providing the affected individuals with Cancer is a platform for meeting and communicating, sharing a Ramadan Iftar meal, and providing mutual support.
