OPEN EVENT IN YANNENA
The National Center for Research and Technological Development (EKETA) and the Electra Energy organization invite you to an event entitled “ENERGY & AGRINUTRITION: How can they be combined?”.
Our needs for clean energy and quality and safe food are increasing. But food production and renewable energy (RES) are activities that are often in competition with each other. Are there solutions? New models, such as for example agro-photovoltaics, can contribute to the combination of the two and strengthen local development.
The event will explore the effective combination of sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry with RES through innovative practices. In particular, the latest developments in the fields of agro-photovoltaics, biomass utilization and climate-smart agriculture will be discussed, while the SolarHub Ignition program will also be presented, which will offer support to start-ups, young entrepreneurs and research groups to develop applications, services and products related to solar technologies. Emphasis will be placed both on the countryside and on solutions implemented in cities, while at the same time innovative models of organization such as energy communities will be presented.
Finally, the possibilities of utilizing all of the above in the region of Epirus will be discussed and analyzed.
The event is organized by the Solar Hub, which aims to promote technologies based on solar energy – with an emphasis on agriculture and animal husbandry.
