The Israeli Army withdrew this morning from Shifa hospitalin the city of Gazaafter two weeks of siege, as confirmed to EFE Palestinian sources from the Gazan capital.
The Israeli troops, who launched this operation on March 18, claim to have killed some 200 alleged militants and identified 500 members of Hamas and of the Islamic Jihadafter interrogating about 800 suspects.
However, the Ministry of Health controlled by Hamasthe Israeli raid against the largest medical complex in the Palestinian enclave, has left at least 400 dead throughout the area.
A drone attack “from the east” hits southern Israel
Meanwhile, in Israela drone attack hit a building near the port of Eilatin the south of the country, with no injuries reported.
According to the Israeli Army, the aggression came “from the east”, apparently coming from Irak.
“After the sirens that sounded in the city of Eilat and in the area of Hevel Eilot regarding an infiltration by hostile aircraft, Israeli Defense Forces soldiers identified a suspicious aerial target crossing from the east into Israeli territory,” a military statement indicated.
“The target fell in the area of the Gulf of Eilat. “No injuries were reported and there was minor damage to a building,” he added.
The reference to the projectile coincides with the demand, this morning, by the Islamic Resistance of Iraq for an attack “towards our occupied lands in solidarity with the Palestinian people of Gaza”.
It would be the first time that this group has managed to have one of their releases reach Israelalthough not the first it has launched since the war in the Gaza Strip began.
Israeli media suggest that the target of the attack would be the Saar 6 frigate, moored in the port of Eilatsince the impact occurred in a nearby building.
Eilat has been the target of the launch of several ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones in parallel to the war, but most of them coming from the Houthis of Yemengroup related to Iran.
None of the projectiles caused significant damage, but they did force Israel in late October to deploy a warship to the Red Sea to intercept them. EFE
