This weekend, matchday 15 of the Clausura 2024 tournament will be played, ahead of the last dates of the regular phase of the tournament in which the eight qualifiers for the quarterfinals will be defined. Firpo will have an important test in his fight to maintain the lead against the Alianza albos.
The day will begin on Saturday, April 6, with the match between Municipal Limeño vs Águila, at the Ramón Flores Berrios stadium, in Santa Rosa de Lima, starting at 7 pm. This is an important match that could reduce the gap so that the cuchero team can return to the top positions of the table or so that the feathered team can climb to the top positions.
The second match of the day will also be played at 7 pm, at the Cuscatlán stadium, between Alianza vs Firpo.
This match will be a litmus test for the bulls seeking to extend their stay in the first position of the table, but also for the capital’s residents who are in third place in search of leadership.
At 7:30 at night, at the Óscar Quiteño stadium, FAS will receive Santa Tecla, the latter team, urged to add as it is the most likely candidate for relegation. For their part, the Santanecos will also look for a victory that will help them stay in the qualifying zone for the next phase.
The date will begin with these three matches and the remaining three will be played on Sunday, April 7, as follows.
Isidro Metapán will visit the Arturo Simeón Magaña stadium, in Ahuachapán, to face 11 Deportivo at 3 in the afternoon. Currently, the jaguars are in the eighth space and the border tank in the sixth.
El Fuerte in San Francisco will receive the runner-up, Jocoro, at the Correcaminos stadium, in San Francisco Gotera. The stokers with two games pending are last in the classification table, with five points to date and will look for results in the last rounds with a view to the quarterfinals.
The last match will be played at 3:15 at the Juan Francisco Barraza stadium in San Miguel, with the series between Dragon vs Platense. The roosters are in the second place in the table with one unit difference from Firpo, with 28 in position 1, and this match could define the next leader.
