Alain Delon Placed Under Enhanced Guardianship Due to Serious Illness: French Film Star’s Family Feud Escalates

A judge specializing in disputes related to protection issues placed the star Alain Delon (88 years old), who suffers from a serious illness, under “enhanced guardianship”, in a new judicial development related to the French film star.

Dillon, who suffers from lymphoma, has been placed under judicial protection since January, with a judicial representative appointed to assist him with his “medical follow-up.”

A source close to the case told Agence France-Presse that “this procedure has been converted into enhanced guardianship” after a closed session held Thursday afternoon in the Montargis Judicial Court.

The source added that the “enhanced guardianship” “concretely means that Dillon no longer has complete freedom to manage his property and the decisions he can make, and this decision allows for the management of some of the medical aspects that concern him.”

Enhanced guardianship constitutes a procedure that allows the guardian to manage the bank account of the person concerned and pay his expenses, according to the “Service Public.fr” website (service-public.fr).

Since the beginning of January, the star’s three sons have been waging a fierce war among themselves, on the pages of the press or in the judiciary, and each of them confirms his desire to protect the great French actor, whose health has deteriorated since he suffered a stroke in 2019.

His two sons, Anthony (59 years old) and Alain Fabien (29 years old), believe that their sister Anushka (33 years old) is manipulating their father, as she hid his health condition from them and wanted to return him to Switzerland, they said.

The two brothers confirmed that Anushka wants to return the star to Switzerland, the country where he holds citizenship and resides regularly, to avoid paying a lot of inheritance taxes in France.

Anushka had filed a lawsuit against her two brothers on charges of violating privacy after they published a conversation between her and her father. The trial will take place in April 2025 in a Paris court.
