Ukrenergo Dispatch Center Implements Temporary Measures to Address Electricity Consumption Issues Amid Russian Attacks

Innovation in action

The Ukrenergo dispatch center is forced to apply temporary measures to limit consumption from 18:20 to 22:00 in the Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kirovograd, Poltava and Sumy regions.

About it reported at Ukrenergo.

The reasons for the restrictions are the lack of sufficient generating capacity in the system to cover consumption in certain regions of the country.

“This is a consequence of the latest massive Russian attacks on Ukrainian power plants.

Also in the evening, consumption in the country increases due to cold weather,” the state-owned company explained.

It is noted that the scope of restrictions is moderate. Oblenergos in the regions will distribute the available volume of electricity evenly between queues of consumers.

At the same time, restrictions on energy supply continue to apply in the Kharkov region and for industrial consumers in Krivoy Rog.

Ukrenergo asks you to consume electricity sparingly.

Let us remind you:

Within 24 hours, the enemy attacked the energy infrastructure in the Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions. In the Kharkov region, equipment at a power facility was damaged due to a drone attack at night.

In the energy system, despite the fact that there is no shortage, there remains a certain likelihood of restrictions in the central and eastern regions, Ukrenergo said.
