Leaning buildings in Taiwan after major earthquake

The earthquake occurred in the Taiwanese city of Hualien and had a magnitude of 7.2 on the Richter scale. The tremors could be felt all the way to China. More than 820 people were injured and at least 120 people are still trapped in tunnels or buildings. Rescue workers are busy removing people from the rubble.

Crooked buildings

The force of the earthquake destroyed many buildings. Some buildings have collapsed and now lean crookedly over the street. Not only does that look strange, but it is also dangerous. These buildings can collapse at any time and cause even more accidents. As a result, buildings are evacuated and people are taken to a safe place.
