But in overtime Östers Albin Mörfelt stepped forward with an equaliser.
Tuesday and premiere in the Superettan for Degerfors IF. Opponents were Östers IF away.
It looked to be a good start to the season, with all three points in the account.
But in the third overtime minute, Albin Mörfelt equalized to make it 1-1.
The lead goal for Degerfors came already in the first half. It was Pashang Abdulla who scored 0-1.
After the premier round is completed, Landskrona BoiS leads the Superettan.
Degerfors and Öster are eight and nine respectively in the table.
