Bizarre news from and about Kanye West (46) is actually the rule rather than the exception. The rapper (‘Gold Digger’) repeatedly makes a name for himself with controversial sayings and actions. Now a former employee of the musician and entrepreneur has unpacked, and what he has to say sheds an unflattering light on the star.
Discrimination against blacks
Trevor Phillips has filed a lawsuit against his former employer. He worked for his company Yeezy and his private school Donda Academy from November 2022 to August 2023 and accuses the star of deliberately creating a hostile working atmosphere there and subjecting his employees to mental cruelty. The accusation of racism is particularly serious – Phillips speaks of severe discrimination, harassment and vengeful behavior, which is said to have come directly from Kanye West and which he only showed towards black employees. “It immediately became clear to him and others that Kanye treated Black employees significantly worse than white employees,” the lawsuit states.
Kanye West and children in cages?
Kanye West is said to have raged and shouted even when students were having lessons at school, “while not even raising his voice to white people.” He particularly targeted Trevor Phillips, “whom he not only treated unfairly and mistreated, but also treated with complete contempt.”
But it’s not just Phillips himself. He goes on to report that Kanye West once told two children that “he wanted to shave their heads and that he intended to build a prison in his school – they could then be locked in cages .”
