Olympiacos took their first “three points” in the playoffs with relative comfort, defeating Ari 3-0.
In Faliro, the visitors missed the first chance in the 2nd minute with Odubatzo missing from an advantageous position. The score opened at 6′. Fortounis crossed and El Kaabi beat Questa with a header for 1-0.
In the 16th minute Richards crossed, Rodney caught the shot with the Spanish keeper saving the ball. In the 18th minute, the red and whites threatened again with a direct foul by Fortounis, while in the 20th minute Karmos was also off target.
Olympiacos was pushing for the second goal and in the 31st minute another chance was missed by Ese.
In the 39th minute, El Kaabi won a penalty after a foul by Brambetz. In the 41st minute, the Moroccan forward took the last of the penalties ala… Panenka, but Cuesta stayed in the center and blocked very easily.
Akis Manzios was not satisfied with the performance of his team and therefore at the start of the second half he made three changes.
In the 48th minute, Jovetic and Pontense worked together with the Portuguese in a shooting position, but it was too late and the opportunity was lost. In the 54th minute, the two teamed up again, this time Jovetic executed with Cuesta deflecting the danger.
