The Egyptian Al-Ahly Club confirmed on its official website on Tuesday that it had sent a letter to the Egyptian Football Association to investigate the situation after more than three months had passed and the matter had not been resolved.
Al-Ahly revealed that the letter read: “We urgently submit to you that the Nasr City Misdemeanor Court has set a session for April 18, to consider the lawsuit filed by Mohamed El-Sheibi, the Pyramids club player, against our player Hussein El-Shahat, in flagrant violation of the regulations of the International and Egyptian Football Federations, which prevent any asylum seeker.” It is an element of the game for civil courts to resolve any sporting dispute.”
