Frölunda also took the lead in the first and Max thinks it was fair. But that it was an important equalizer from Patrik Norén seven minutes later.
– We didn’t play such a good match in Gothenburg last time, so we had talked about taking home advantage today.
And two goals in the powerplay today again. What has happened?
-Lol! We were unlucky during the season in terms of that game. We thought we’d save it for the playoffs, Max says with a laugh.
He thinks that the goals last time caused some shoulders to drop and that it was easier to play today.
– Powerplay should be fun and now it is. That has not been the case before.
Was Max’s target anyway
Just over six minutes into the third period, Leksand makes it 4-1. Patrik Zackrisson sends a perfect pass from his own zone up towards Max, who comes free. The puck bounces and goes in an arc over Frölunda’s goalkeeper.
– It was actually well-deserved with a lucky goal, says Max, who says that the puck caught his pants.
– So Zacke didn’t get it, he says and smiles broadly.
The chains change
The team has had some illnesses and injuries, but today several were back. There have been a lot of changes in the chains and forwards who were thirteenth have suddenly got playing time. Martin Karlsson and Arvid Eljas have really taken advantage of the opportunity.
-They come in and do great. Martin is so important to us. How he works hard and how he angers the opponents, says Max.
What will you do to win on Wednesday?
-We will play like today. It’s important to be ready for the first ten minutes because they will surely press hard. But in five against five we can put pressure on them.
