Singapore Flu Spreading in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia: Ministry of Health Reports 5,000 Cases

PALANGKA RAYA, Kaltengnews.co.id – The spread of the Singapore Flu is now increasingly common in Indonesia, based on data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in the 11th week of 2024, at least five (5) thousand people have been infected.

In particular in Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Province regarding the spread of this flu, the Head of the Central Kalimantan Health Service (Dinkes), Suyuti Syamsul, revealed that the Singapore flu case had been detected based on data from his party’s online reporting system.

“Based on the recorded online reporting system, the Singapore flu occurred in all districts and cities throughout Central Kalimantan,” said Suyuti when contacted via WhatsApp message, Wednesday (03/04/2024).

Regarding the number of cases or people infected, Suyuti did not reveal the exact number, but according to him, the Singapore flu case was recorded and is currently in the Central Kalimantan Health Office’s online reporting system.

Furthermore, even though the spread of the Singapore flu has reached Central Kalimantan, he said that currently, the flu is not yet a priority for the Central Kalimantan Health Office. Because the disease (flu, ed.) can heal by itself and is not fatal.

“However, we still appeal to the public to remain alert and adopt a healthy lifestyle. “If you experience severe flu symptoms, immediately go to the nearest health facility,” he advised.
