The school fair is a practical lesson in financial literacy

“It hasn’t happened yet”, many people thought and said after visiting the Kaziuk fair of Aleksandars Teodoros Kuršaitis primary school in Dituva.
Previously, the traditional fair was also held, but there was not enough space – the individual classrooms and corridors lacked a sense of community and completeness. Now something else. The new gym functions not only for physical exercise, but also for various events. Therefore, this year’s “Kaziuk Fair 2024” exceeded all expectations.
All the participants and guests of the fair were greeted with a big smile by Kazytė (teacher Ramunė Drizgaitė-Dargevičienė) and Kazimieras (teacher Aleksas Bagdonavičius), and the instrumental ensemble of Dituva gardens “Soduva” supported the good mood.
At the fair, there was a cornucopia of goods, each more beautiful and delicious than the other. Classes competed in intelligence and ingenuity. The mottos of “Young Entrepreneurs” are louder than each other, and the beauty of the clothes was worthy of the podium. The surprise of the ninth graders is the real “Balta/Juoda” cafe. We received quite a number of guests from Agluonėnai and Vilkyčiai schools.
After the celebration, all traders had to calculate their profit, they chose the student with the highest profit in the class and school and the class with the highest profit. He found out what products were most in demand and what it takes to sell the product successfully.
During the fair, ceramicist and blacksmith Dainius Šarkus introduced the intricacies of flower-making, artist Jūratė Kadilė revealed the secrets of painting on leather, Jolita Morkuvienė taught the art of dotting. Ceramicist Violeta Šarkė presented dishes molded from fireclay and a variety of clay products, while the products of the above-mentioned D. Šarkas smithy aroused the admiration of all participants.
We sincerely thank the instrumental ensemble of Dituva Gardens “Soduva” and its manager Kazimier Ramonas, the head of the Dreverna Cultural Center Virgina Asnauskienei, Aurelia Rašinskaita, Alfons Vismantas and Modest Preibis for their help in implementing the ideas, which created a good mood.
We are happy with the members of the school community who contributed ideas, works, items, encouragement, and help to make the “Kaziuk Fair 2024” run smoothly. It is nice that all the participants and their parents, brothers and sisters, grandmothers and grandfathers were in a fun mood, generously opened their wallets and spread beautiful fellowship.
