The Damage Register has begun accepting applications for compensation for damage caused by the war with Russia. This was reported by “European Truth” with reference to the press service of the department.
It is noted that the work will proceed in stages: from April 2, applications will be accepted only in the category “Damage or destruction of residential property.” Others will be launched throughout the year.
“The registry will accept applications from people, businesses and the state of Ukraine regarding more than 40 categories of damage, such as loss of life, bodily injury, torture and sexual violence, forced deportation, loss of property and other financial damage, as well as damage to historical and cultural property. heritage and the environment,” the release said.
The Register as a whole expects from 6 million to 8 million applications, only for the first category from April 2 – from 300 thousand to 600 thousand.
On March 22, the register opened an office in Kyiv, the newspaper recalls.

Ukrainians can already submit their applications for compensation for damage or destruction of residential property. We would welcome the expansion of the scope of the registry by increasing the number of types of statements available.
