Thrissur: After asking for a ticket, a non-government worker pushed the ticket examiner from the train and killed him. K. Vinod, who was a ticket examiner at the Ernakulam depot, was killed. Vinod was dumped near Mulangunanthukkav station. He died after the train ran over his fallen body. The accused was taken into police custody from Palakkad.
The incident took place after the Ernakulam-Patna Express left Thrissur station in the evening. An argument broke out between the inspector and the non-state worker who asked for the ticket. Following this, he attacked and pushed the TTE.
