The festival “Women and High Heels” held at Balkiai Culture House intrigued the participants not only by the name. The employees of the Kretingalė cultural center created a great atmosphere here.
“We wanted to remind women about high heels, which are probably already gathering dust on the shelf. They wanted them to take them out, wipe off the dust and, after stretching, go to the Plikai Culture House to celebrate,” revealed Jurgita Andronatij, the creator and director of the event.
When they actually arrived in the cozy, smartly decorated hall, the women wore high heels. The participants of the celebration sat down at tables with feasts. They were decorated with symbolic compositions with high heels.
The men congratulated the women with their concert performances, and they enriched the event with verses. They talked about the history of high heels, joked about determining the heel height of luxury shoes, and tried to drive a nail with a high heel.
“Ledna” UAB, located in Plikiai, treated the gathering to ice cream. During the celebration, a “Woman – for Woman” raffle was organized – the participants made each other happy with their handiwork.
The men of the Balki community greeted the women in rows and gave them flowers.
The celebration was crowned by the concert and dances of the variety group “Međiotojų Trio” – everyone missed them.
While parting, the participants thanked the organizers of the event and asked about the next celebration.
