Fuji TV’s special drama “GTO Revival” starring actor Takashi Sorimachi (50) was broadcast on the 1st (9:00 p.m.). This is the first revival in 26 years of the blockbuster drama that aired in 1998.

“GTO”, which depicts the unconventional education of former Yankee teacher “Great Teacher Onizuka” Eikichi Onizuka, has been revived in the Reiwa era.
In the previous work, Sorimachi himself sang the theme song “POISON~I can’t say what I want to say~” which was a big hit. This time, the four-person rock band “ENCOUNT” was in charge of the arrangement of the song from 1998. Sorimachi also participated as a featured artist and attracted attention.
After the scene where Sorimachi reunites with his former students is shown at the beginning, when “New POISON” is played, the internet gets excited. “Poison is here!” “My heart is so hot” “This is so exciting” “In a world like this where you can’t even say what you want to say” “Poison is the best” “It’s the best after all” “Has the Reiwa baby stopped crying?” and other nostalgic songs It was filled with voices.
“POISON” released in 1998 became a hot topic as “a song that makes babies stop crying,” and various reviews are being conducted on YouTube. People were paying attention to whether the “new POISON” would be effective.
