Like every year, Niantic celebrates its American April Fool’s Day known as “April’s Fool” or “Day of Jokes”; a holiday that has different theories of its origin, ranging from France and the celebration of the New Year on April 1 during the Middle Ages, to the Canterbury tales with different references.
In the popular Pokémon GO application, it has been celebrated since 2018 with the famous 8-bit sprites that trainers around the world liked so much, even demanding its recovery for such a symbolic date; going through the year 2021 to star in it with Pokémon that stand out for being very playful like Aipom or Croagunk; the year 2022 with Ditto as the protagonist; or last year’s 2023 event, where Pidgey took center stage with the new XXL and XXS Pokémon sizes. This year the event will be held only on April 1, 2024, between 00:00 and 23:59 Spanish time.
Although usually found in France, Klefki will appear at events in #PokemonGOFest2024 from Sendai, Madrid and New York!

This year, pranks will help us get excellent throws, whether the throw is good or great (when the Pokéball falls within the color circle depending on its size). We will also have a temporary investigation focused on the type of releases we get, being able to get Pokéball and its improved versions, Stardust and Golden Frambu Berries.
As for field investigations, they will also focus on the types of releases we make with different rewards such as Stardust, Pokéball and appearances of Spinda with the 8 skin patterns available at the moment (in total there are 16 but it is unknown what they are) , except for the leather pattern with a heart that usually appears on Valentine’s Day.
Take advantage of this event especially for those special missions that ask you for excellent launches and that you have gotten stuck or to quickly gain experience. Keep an eye out for more surprises… or pranks from friends lurking around the corner.
