Irina Shayk is known as one of the main models of our time. She has been building her career for several decades and is considered an icon of the fashion industry. At the same time, as a child, the future catwalk star did not even dream of such fame and suffered from attacks from her peers.
Irina, whose real name is Shaykhlislamova, grew up in the small town of Yemanzhelinsk. The future model had an unusual appearance since childhood. But if years later this would become her calling card, then at that time it was only a reason for ridicule: her classmates teased her with “tower” and “plywood”.
The situation changed only after finishing school. Irina moved to Chelyabinsk, where one day she entered a beauty contest, which she won. At the show, the girl was seen by a scout from a modeling agency, who offered her a job abroad.
Since then, Irina Shayk has been actively conquering the catwalks. She has represented the collections of most of the world’s designers, and spends part of her income on charity.
