Today and tomorrow look variable with occasional rain showers. Although it is not all doom and gloom, says meteorologist Thijs Smink of Buienradar. There are certainly some pretty nice moments too. “Every day there can be a moment when the sun peeks through.”
This also applies to the coming days. Now that astronomical spring has started, the days are getting longer and the chance of the sun breaking through is also increasing. Temperatures in the afternoon will be around 12 to 15 degrees in the coming days.
If you time it right, you can still enjoy the spring sun for a while. There may also be a few showers daily. Keep an eye on the Rain Radar for this:
Higher level
The temperature will reach a ‘higher level’ on Friday and Saturday. It will then possibly be 15 to 20 degrees. “We are getting a bit of a repeat of things. Before this Easter weekend there was initially a chance that it would be 20 degrees, but we had to deal with a large low-pressure area.”
It could happen again next Friday and Saturday. “The chance is about fifty-fifty that we will reach those 20 degrees or that it will be another weekend like now.”
East Germany 25 degrees
While it was wet here in Western Europe and around 10 to 15 degrees, spring has really started in Eastern Europe. It was remarkably warm in a strip from Greece to Poland. In Serbia it was 30 degrees locally, in East Germany it was 25 degrees locally. “We were just wrong. From Spain to England it was a lot more variable.”
