They pay tribute to those killed in the Moscow terrorist attack – 2024-03-30 17:18:27

Moscow/Prensa Latina

The Crocus City Hall building, destroyed by fire in the bloody terrorist attack on Friday, was illuminated today on the day of national mourning in Russia, with a very special set of lights, Prensa Latina reported.

The spectacle of an endless line of cranes takes flight from the foundations of the building, where Muscovites have placed thousands of flowers, lit candles and stuffed animals, and rise into the sky in memory of those who fell there.

Cranes have a deep meaning for Russians, as they inspired one of the most famous works of the Soviet singer, Muslim Magomayev, in whose honor the concert hall where the attack took place was named.

The song itself is a ballad dedicated to soldiers who turn into birds after dying, as a symbol of hope and immortality.

Everyone can participate in the tribute to those who died in the terrorist attack by folding a paper crane, drawing it or creating your own version and posting it on social networks.
