Very soon, the PREMIERE on the stage of the Alytus City Theater is a musical performance based on one of the most original works of Kazi Borutas of the 20th century. of Lithuanian literary novels “Baltaragio’s mill” (directed by Milda Emilija Mičiulytė). The musical performance “Baltaragios Malūnas” being revived on the stage of the Alytus Theater – the eternal struggle between good and evilabout the struggle between man and the devil for his soul and the happy life, intertwined with the romantic love story of Girdvainis and Jurga. Supernatural phenomena, spells, evil forces defeat fragile human nature.

This is a musical performance in which, according to choreographer Mariaus Pinigis, neither the music nor the movement will stop.

Marius Pinigis is a representative of contemporary dance, developing his activities as a dancer, choreographer, pedagogue not only in Lithuania, but also abroad. One of the founders of the NUEPIKO dance troupe. A long-time dancer of the Kaunas Dance Theater “Aura”, recently he not only regularly expresses himself as a dancer, but also actively creates and presents his works. For his active artistic activity, Marius has been awarded more than one professional performing arts award. He is active not only in educational activities, but also regularly participates in dance seminars, workshops, and intensive courses held abroad. He is also a member of the Contemporary Dance Association, uniting Lithuanian dance professionals.

Alytus City Theater’s “Baltaragio’s Mill” is a musical performance in which not only the music will not last long, but also the dynamics of movement and actions, as if echoing the work that has already become a classic. At the moment, the choreographer is working together with the troupe of actors, carefully rehearsing the scenes of the performance, which will not be interrupted by bright choreography, characterized by lightness, plasticity and, most importantly, mutual connection during dance movements. “I believe that the audience will really like the performance”! Will we see complex choreography elements and lifts on the stage? Indeed, that’s what the audience can certainly expect!
