Lifting force majeure on the ports of Brega and Zueitina, may God reassure the global oil market

The National Oil Corporation announced the lifting of the state of force majeure on the ports of Brega and Zueitina, noting that the tanker “Ebla” is on its way to ship a shipment of condensates after its technical acceptance from the Sirte Company.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, said that it was agreed, after long and continuous negotiations during the Eid al-Adha holiday, to enter the tanker upon its arrival and to begin shipping condensates from the ports of Brega and Zueitina in a step followed by steps, he said.

Sanalla added that a team of specialists from the National Oil Corporation and its subsidiaries are in charge of negotiations to agree to accept tankers to call on the ports of Sidra and Zueitina and to begin resuming production for the Al-Waha and Mellitah fields in the hope of a solution to the crisis.

Sanallah stated that contact had been made with the Petroleum Facilities Guard and the Chairman of the Energy Committee of the House of Representatives, stressing that everyone was convinced of the importance of shipping condensates to solve the gas shortage crisis in the eastern region and ensure feeding the Zueitina and North Benghazi stations, as well as the Sarir station immediately after production from the Al-Waha Company fields, according to him.

Sanalla reassured the oil market that Libya and the National Oil Corporation are continuing to “fulfill their responsibilities and maintain the regular flow of oil to global markets,” noting that he gave instructions to companies to gradually increase production capacity of oil and natural gas, according to him.
