Singer Erik Grönwall is leaving Skid Row for health reasons.
As recently as last year, the band postponed the tour after Grönwall suffered health problems.
“I have nothing but respect for the guys in the band, but I love and respect my health more,” writes the singer now.
The singer Erik Grönwall36, is leaving the hard rock band Skid Row, this due to health reasons.
He writes them on social media.
“Yes, I have decided to leave Skid Row. The main reason is that it has proven difficult to prioritize my health and recovery as the band’s singer,” he writes in a post on Instagram.
Kicked off tour last year
Last year, the band postponed their tour after Grönwall suffered health problems. In the past, he has also fought leukemia.
In the fall of 2021, he became cancer-free, but due to a bone marrow transplant, his immune system was partially weakened.
“I have far too much respect for my medical history to push myself to the limit,” writes Erik Grönwall.
“I love Skid Row, I have nothing but respect for the guys in the band but I love and respect my health more”.

The message: Will continue to make music
Furthermore, the artist writes that if he cannot prioritize his health, he is not “the right person for the job”.
However, Grönwall wants to emphasize that he has not fallen ill again. It’s not that he doesn’t want to tour either.
“I love being on the road. And of course we have tried to find the right balance together. But in the end I realized that it was better for me to take a step aside”.
Now the artist will focus fully on his health and recovery.
At the same time ha is writing his autobiography and he will start writing his own music again.
