The authorities of Broward County, in the state of Florida, are dealing with a disturbing case that began with the discovery of two bodies and a person in critical condition.
This is a mother and her two-year-old baby, who were allegedly murdered by the woman’s husband in the city of Plantation.
The case involved a failed double murder-suicide which took place last Tuesday, March 26, in a house located on Northwest 97th Avenue, in the Jacaranda Lakes area.
Neighbors interviewed by the media Local 10 News He indicated that the house where everything happened houses four people, the two parents, a two-year-old baby and another three-month-old.
According to this witness, the youngest son was with his grandparents, and he saw that an ambulance took the father of the family, however, he did not see it transport the woman or the two-year-old child.
Police have not given any further details, but it was confirmed that the deaths were caused by wounds caused by a sharp weapon.
The police report indicates that the officers found the man unconscious inside the house along with the bodies of his wife and son. He was suffering from an overdose after having ingested some unknown substance.
The man, identified as Jean Carlos Aponte, 40 years old, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and is considered the main suspect in a crime.
The Broward County Police Department later reported the case on social media, stating that the safety of the general public was not at risk.

The deceased woman and child were identified as Sara Ashley Gama, 38, and Ethan Aponte.
Neighbors described the family as lovely people, so they do not know what could have led the man to commit such an act.
“He is a military veteran, he never drank, he spent a lot of time with his family, he worked hard on the appearance of his house and showed no signs of problems,” other neighbors told the local press.
