The General Meteorological Authority revealed, according to the latest satellite images, the continued proliferation of low, medium and cumulonimbus rain clouds over areas of Giza, Cairo, Lower Egypt and the east of the country, accompanied by rain of varying intensity that is thundery in some areas.
This comes after various parts of the country were exposed to rain of varying intensity on Thursday evening, coinciding with the heat wave that began on Wednesday.
The Meteorology Department said that the weather conditions during the coming hours will witness moderate rain on areas of the northwestern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, at intermittent intervals.
The authority indicated that weather conditions during the coming hours will also witness light rain in areas of Greater Cairo, southern Lower Egypt, Sinai, and the Red Sea mountain ranges, and may be moderate in the early morning, in the west and south of Greater Cairo and Beni Suef, at intermittent intervals.
She added that there is wind activity on areas of the northern coast, South Sinai and the country, at intermittent intervals.
