Djurgården is ready for the final in the Swedish Cup after defeating AIK on penalties.
Newly acquired Tobias Gulliksen, 22, kicked an eleven-meter kick for the Blue Stripes and it was probably the one that got the most attention afterwards.
The Norwegian chose to celebrate by turning towards AIK’s supporters on the short side and putting his fingers to one arm (a sign for “ice cold”). A gesture that was met with boos and the outside forward was also warned about the measure.
AIK’s Bersant Celina was not particularly impressed by his compatriot’s celebration when he met the media afterwards.
– I told him to be careful with such things. I don’t think the AIK fans liked it. He should stay indoors next week, says Celina.
Were you surprised he did that?
– I got annoyed with him. I’ll have a chat with him, I will.
However, the AIK star, who has known Gulliksen for a long time, does not want to reveal what he intends to say.
– I’ll give him a pat on the back of the head. We’ll see, Celina says lightly.
Djurgården’s head coach Thomas Lagerlöf was not as upset about Gulliksen’s celebration against the AIK heel.
– He didn’t run very close. But he gets happy when he scores a goal and I’ve seen worse celebrations, says Lagerlöf.
There was a slightly sharper tone among some of AIK’s players. Not everyone was happy with Gulliksen:
– He plays a little Allan. You don’t do that, I think. But I can’t bear to spend energy on it. It’s dirty, says Axel Björnström.
He is supported by Sotirios Papagiannopoulos:
– It’s childish. Go celebrate with your own fans instead, says “Sotte”.
Gulliksen, in turn, chose not to stop at the mixed zone after the match. But in an interview with SVT He gave a brief comment:
– I’m sorry. It wasn’t the smartest thing I did, says the 22-year-old.
Celina and Gulliksen have belonged to the Strømsgodset at the same time.
