Two migrants already expelled on board the ship, two arrests in Ancona

(ANSA) – ANCONA, MARCH 19 – There were also two migrants already expelled from Italy several times on board the Ocean Viking which arrived yesterday at the port of Ancona with 336 shipwrecked people rescued from the Mediterranean waters. The police, after medical checks and identification procedures completed only in the morning at the Palaindoor in Ancona, arrested a 27-year-old Tunisian and a 36-year-old Pakistani for violating the expulsion order. Both had their asylum requests rejected and in 2021 they were put on board repatriation planes. The two arrests were validated today by the Court of Ancona for both and the judge ordered the obligation to sign until the end of the procedure: for the Pakistani at the Morrovalle carabinieri, for the Tunisian at the immigration office of the Ancona Police Headquarters. The lawyers asked for defense terms to evaluate an alternative procedure. The direct will be held on April 23 for the 27-year-old and on May 7 for the 36-year-old. The judge has already given the go-ahead for yet another expulsion. The 27-year-old, defended by the lawyer Riccardo Somma, reported to judge Carlo Cimini that the new attempt to enter Italy was to reach a relative in Morrovalle. The 36-year-old, assisted by lawyer Daniele Sandroni, explained that he believed that the expulsion order had a limited validity. (HANDLE).
