The Vice Ministry of Transportation (VMT) continues with anti-doping operations at the national level to locate and remove from circulation people who, in a state of intoxication, defy Salvadoran laws, driving their vehicles through the different streets of the country, putting their lives, the of his companions and that of third parties.
The operation was carried out on Friday night and early today in conjunction with agents from the National Civil Police (PNC), who imposed 27 fines on drivers who did not exceed 100 milligrams per deciliter of alcohol in exhaled air.
Of the total of 700 breathalyzer tests, 9 drivers exceeded 100 degrees and that is why they were captured, taken to a PNC bartolina and their vehicles sent to the Changallo canton.
The General Director of Freight Transportation, Rodolfo Valdez, supervised one of the anti-doping control devices deployed in different parts of the country and made a new call to the general population to avoid driving while intoxicated. “We are carrying out the devices every day of the week to avoid mishaps,” he said.
“One of the main causes of accidents is distracted driving, as well as drunk driving. We call on all people not to drink alcoholic beverages if they are going to drive,” said Valdez.
“We are always with anti-doping fences and they are permanent. We are about to begin an Easter vacation period and in that sense, we are going to reinforce operations,” Rodolfo Valdez pointed out.
