On March 18 and 20, the University Theater at NBU will present to the Sofia theater audience the premiere play “Roberto Zuko” by Bernard-Marie Koltes. The director of the play is Asen Blatechki, a guest of the University Theater at NBU.
Koltes’ text is no stranger to theater stages, but Assen Blatecki’s version does not impose judgment or force an attitude. The directorial decision builds the characters of Koltes’ characters, relying on the relationships of each of the characters with the other actors.
The viewer must discover and reach his own truth.
And Roberto Zuco… He will show us that in order to discover the sun one should not “try through the walls, because on the other side of these walls there are other walls, it is still a prison. One must run through the roofs, into the sun. They will never build a wall between the sun and the earth.”
Set designer of the show is Antonia Popova, composer Hristo Namliev. Third and fourth year students participate – Theater program.
