The actress talked many times with the director David Hare about staging the play “Skylight”, in which she would partner with Bill Nye. After 3 months of negotiations, now it seems that Kate is ready to join the project.
“She really liked the production and is very likely to star in it,” reports an unnamed source. However, according to the report, there are still “some obstacles of a personal nature” that may prevent Winslet from joining the play.
It is not clear whether she will be able to rearrange her professional commitments.
“There could be a change, the way ahead of her is clear to do the play ‘Skylight’, but there is no 100% guarantee,” the source revealed to the Daily Mail. It has not yet been decided whether the play will be performed in London or on Broadway in New York.
The play tells the story of a famous restaurateur who meets his ex-girlfriend and starts a relationship with her while his wife is still alive.
