Brussels Airlines Pilots Strike: Unions Demand Responsibilty, Unrealistic Demands Rejected

“We deeply regret these new irresponsible actions on the part of the pilot unions. We continue to call on the unions to take their responsibilities and stop relying on unrealistic demands,” adds the airline.

“A considerable proposal for an increase in purchasing power is on the table and improvements regarding work-life balance have also been proposed for all categories of employees,” recalls Brussels Airlines.

Brussels Airlines pilots go on strike for several days

Brussels Airlines pilots will launch a first wave of strikes from March 23 to 27, the unions announced on Friday in a common front, both on the French-speaking and Dutch-speaking side.

Series of four strike days will be organized once or twice per calendar month, as indicated by the unions previously.

The last strike action, which lasted three days, by Brussels Airlines cabin crew dates back to the end of February and the beginning of March. The unions denounce the lack of progress in negotiations with management around remuneration conditions.
