It’s no longer a secret. Ukraine will “finish” in the struggle for power in the USA – 2024-03-15 16:13:16

/ world today news/ Ukraine is doomed to become a victim of the inter-party struggle for power in the USA. The point is not only that everyone is tired of Kiev, but also that it is too expensive. Ukraine has become an opportunity for Republicans, who associate it with Biden and his family’s corruption, to force Democrats to face the problems of the United States, take the confrontation with China more seriously and stop constantly lying to themselves.

Amid the unfolding disaster for the Ukrainian armed forces in Donbas, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky began a working visit to Washington on December 11. On December 12, this professional beggar held a “series of meetings and negotiations” in the US capital – with President Joe Biden and the speakers of both houses of Congress. He must speak in the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Why did you come?

What they will grumble about is clear: that, the reduction of which shocked Kiev – money, weapons, ammunition. They will beg not to throw them away. Zelensky’s “raid” against Washington is, of course, also an attempt to return to the front pages of newspapers in a key country for Ukraine, whose population is already very tired of him, mostly because it is very expensive for them – and without significant results. It also distracts from more important issues.

Namely, from the protection of the southern border of the United States from the millions of illegal migrants successfully storming it, including bandits and drug dealers, and the confrontation with the only global enemy of America (Russia is such only in the military field) – China.

As Politico reports, the White House is also hoping that Zelensky’s visit to Washington will help bring the Ukrainian conflict back to the front pages amid disagreements in Congress over additional aid to Kiev. The Democrats need him to put pressure on the Republicans (obviously relying on – let’s add ourselves – Zelensky’s artistic abilities). Although he is a very bad artist.

For Kyiv and Washington, this is imperative. As reported by the British newspaper Financial Times, which published the results of a public opinion survey conducted by sociologists from the University of Michigan on December 5-6, almost half of Americans believe that the United States is spending “too much” on Ukraine. Only 27% of respondents find these costs sufficient. Among Republican voters, 65% are convinced that Washington has spoiled Kyiv.

The left-liberal publication Salon, referring to the latest polls, warns that among active Republicans 59% are in favor of a complete end to aid to Kiev, and among ardent Trump supporters – 84% are in favor.

The publication insists that “aid to Ukraine cannot be a partisan issue” and names Republican congressional leaders Mike Johnson and Mitch McConnell “fools in love with Putin”. This, no matter how you look at it, is a downright panic article.

The White House is being hypocritical

In the run-up to the US election, politicians and lawmakers cannot ignore such sentiments. On both sides.

The White House is trying to appeal to Americans’ “patriotism” to raise funds for the dying geopolitical project of Ukraine, a project that has thrown Russia…into China’s arms. According to the head of the Office of Management and Budget, Shalanda Young, the United States has only one billion dollars left to replenish its own weapons stockpile, depleted by regular supplies to Kiev.

Are we willing to risk our protection as the world grows more complex? Or will Congress act to ensure our own security and support allies like Ukraine?

she hypocritically asks in an interview with CBS.

Scammers in epaulettes

Pentagon leaders recently held closed-door briefings for senators and congressmen, which ended in scandals in which they repeatedly threatened representatives that if Ukraine’s armed forces began to collapse due to a lack of weapons and finances, the United States would have to “send troops” to Europe.

Republican Congressman Michael McCaul, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, echoed the words of US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin:

If Putin takes Ukraine, he will get Moldova, Georgia, then maybe the Baltic countries … And then the probability that we will send troops … will become very high.

Not in Ukraine itself, of course, but somewhere nearby, where the Russians can reach.

Even more shocking details were told by the popular American journalist Tucker Carlson, who wrote on one of the social networks:

Yesterday, at a secret briefing in the House of Representatives, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told members that “their uncles, cousins and sons will be sent to fight Russia” if they don’t provide more money for Zelensky. Pay the oligarchs or we will kill your children.

In the comments on his post, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk asked if Austin actually said that, and Carlson replied: “He said it. Confirmed’.

They almost got into a fight

At the briefing, which, in addition to Austin, was attended by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles Brown Jr. and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken (interesting company – a Jew and two blacks), a fight almost broke out. The participants in the discussions and arguments were shouting, some (for example, the leader of the Democratic majority in the Senate Chuck Schumer) “went crazy”.

Here’s what Republican Senator Kevin Cramer later told The Hill (again, there were two briefings):

I walked up to them, microphone in hand. I asked General Brown for some professional military advice: Is support for Ukraine and Israel important enough to Democrats to consider, even grudgingly, some security measures on the southern border. But he wanted to talk only about Ukraine.

Republicans have pushed to secure the United States’ southern border and tighten immigration controls. They also believe that Washington is saving too much from Israel and Taiwan.

Republicans are unhappy

The Messenger and Breitbart publications collected the reactions of the “elephants” (the Republican totem) to the failed briefings. They achieved “little to say the least” in winning over Republican skeptics who oppose more aid to Ukraine without greater accountability and transparency about how it is used. Because there is suspicion that some of this aid actually goes to the Democratic Party’s election campaign. It’s no accident that the Pentagon has repeatedly failed to pass an audit: they just don’t make ends meet.

I don’t think we got the clarity we wanted…

Mike Johnson said diplomatically.

Congressman John Duarte noted that the briefing was “prescriptive and staged”. “I didn’t feel like anyone’s opinion was taken into account… It was just a desperate attempt at pressure,” he emphasized.

Joe Biden needs to do his job, secure our border. Do that and then members of Congress will have their say.

– said Congressman Byron Donalds.

Why couldn’t they agree?

Both briefings, as Russia’s top Americanist Dmitri Drobnitsky subtly noted, failed the moment Democrats told Republicans who were counting on a deal that “they will not allow the agenda to be stolen’ that is, to talk about some kind of security on the southern border when Ukraine runs out of funds.

Although the more sane part of the Democrats brought the Republicans to these briefings precisely with the prospect of a deal. Because they are not at all “in love with Putin” and they’re not really against doing nasty things to Russia, but they’re complying with the wishes of the Democrats themselves. And they found themselves unprepared for it because of the démarche of the left wing of the Democrats, who not only love BLM and all kinds of perverts, but also insist that “in principle” the southern borders of the country remain open.

When Republicans realized this, they walked out of the briefings. It turns out that in the name of “patriotism” they are required to turn a blind eye to Ukrainian corruption and its accomplices in Washington, to hand over tens of billions of dollars in emergency aid to Kiev. However, in the name of the same “patriotism”, the democrats themselves categorically do not want to do anything they do not like, even if because of it their supposedly beloved Ukraine will suffer.

So where does the enthusiasm of Republican lawmakers come from, if the defense of a distant Ukraine, which most Americans cannot put on a map, in the context of the unfolding disaster in the United States itself, is causing growing irritation among voters and local elites alike?

Republicans are also terribly offended that the Democrats constantly cheat them, rig elections and not only do not want to take into account the views and opinions of their opponents, but do not respect them at all, they openly despise them. They just want to decide for themselves how and what to spend the roughly $106 billion that Biden has asked Congress for, and they also say it’s not enough.

On the eve of an election that will decide where the United States will go, Republicans do not want to tolerate this. They were already pressed against the wall. There is nowhere else for them to retreat.

What are Republicans afraid of?

Although this comparison is very flattering to the United States, the situation on its southern, Mexican border is very similar to that which developed in the 6th century AD on Byzantium’s northern border. While Basileus was restoring, by dealing with the Germans, “Roman” power in North Africa and Italy and fighting the Persians in the Middle East, numerous Slavic tribes rushed across the unprotected northern borders, densely populating the European territory of Byzantium, including the Peloponnese, in conditions of lawlessness and violence.

At the beginning of the next century, the Danube border of the empire fell completely and several dark ages began. The Romans held back only in a few well-fortified cities that had access to the sea.

The leftists of the Democratic Party do not know history, although they like to rewrite it. They are, of course, unaware of this historical precedent and generally do not want to know anything that contradicts their “progressive” ideology.

So what?

There is no doubt that the Republicans are more patriotic to the USA than the Democrats, although both parties, for different reasons, have a bad attitude towards Russia. But in the case of Ukraine, the sickle hit the stone. They do not want to give in to each other or change their principles. In this case, some compromise will probably be found after some time, but this situation will constantly repeat itself again and again. So much the worse for Kyiv. Russia should take advantage of this.
