Customers who return the frozen vegetables will receive a refund. The metal particles may be dangerous to health, reports Albert Heijn.
At Albert Heijn this concerns the AH Spinach finely chopped, in a package of 450 grams with the expiry date of 31-01-2026.
Lidl is recalling the spinach cubes from the Freshona brand. This concerns the 800 gram packaging with the expiration date 02-2026. “It cannot be ruled out that some packages contain thin metal splinters,” the supermarket warns.
There have been several recalls recently due to metal particles in products. For example, last week an Albert Heijn candy bar was withdrawn from the market. Before that, many supermarkets in the Netherlands and Belgium also recalled chocolate biscuits because they may contain metal particles. These came from a broken agitator in a grease tank from manufacturer Merba from Oosterhout.
