Hirving Lozano is ‘sad’ now that he has been passed over by coach Peter Bosz for PSV’s Champions League return against Borussia Dortmund. That’s what Rafael van der Vaart suspects.

“If I had been Lozano, it would make me really sad,” says Van der Vaart in the studio Ziggo Sports. Bosz opts for Malik Tillman on left winger. “I think that’s a bit crazy. But it’s also justified,” continues the 109-time international. “That’s why it makes you sad, because Lozano will think: what am I doing?“
Van der Vaart has absolutely no doubts about Bosz’s choice. “I really believe in Bosz, I have to say that. He must have made a conscious choice.” Fellow analyst Youri Mulder is surprised. “They are adapting a bit at PSV, it seems. Tillman is of course more of a midfielder, Lozano really a winger.”
