This day the mayor of the capital commune, Ricardo Quiñonez announced that the TuBus route service will be expanded for the benefit of the residents of zone 5.
The route includes between Colón Park and the aforementioned area. The route will end at the Civic Center, next to the Guatemala Municipality building.
The mayor of the capital explained that this friendly service is to cover routes that the Transmetro service does not reach and that it is part of the commitment to the search for sustainable solutions for public transportation and for the users who use the service daily.

In the coming days, the authorities will enable the new route and, as they commented, it will guarantee decent, comfortable and safe transportation.
FACILITIES
The authorities mentioned that older adults and people with disabilities will receive the service free of charge. Meanwhile, it responds to the fact that the units are low-floor, that is, with easy access for people with disabilities.
For their part, the stations were also built in such a way as to guarantee easy access and safe boarding for all people.
Service hours are Monday to Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays, from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sundays and holidays, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Regular users must use their Citizen Card.
