District Prosecutor’s Office-Burgas detains A.A. for up to 72 hours. He is accused of violating the rules of the road and negligently causing the death of a woman, as well as moderate injuries to another woman and two children, which occurred as a result of a traffic accident.
The criminal act was committed on 03/09/2024 on the road in the area of the crossroads for the village of Cherni vrah, region Burgas.
It is qualified under Article 343, paragraph 3, proposition 3, 6.“6”, proposition 1, paragraph 4, paragraph 4. 1, b.,,6″ and b.”c”, cf. art. 342, para. 1 of the Criminal Code, cf. art. 20, para. 1 of the Law on Road Traffic.
During the investigation, it was established that the car driven by the accused entered the traffic jam and thus caused a traffic accident with the car in which the injured persons were traveling.
By decree of the supervising prosecutor, in accordance with the provisions of Article 69a of the Code of Civil Procedure, it was decreed that the accused’s motor vehicle driving license was revoked.
The District Prosecutor’s Office-Burgas is about to submit to the court a request to take a measure of remand, custody in relation to the accused.
According to A.A. a measure was also imposed, a ban on leaving the borders of the Republic of Bulgaria”.
