The XXI Young Art Circuit will bring together various forms of artistic expression of young people between 14 and 30 years old from the northwest area of the Community of Madrid until next April 12
12/03/2024: As is tradition, once again Galapagar participates in the Young Art Circuit of the northwest area of the Community of Madrid, which is now its 21st edition, and which will be held between March 11 and April 12 . If you are young and have an artistic spirit, do not miss the opportunity to participate in a circuit that will bring together young people from 14 to 30 years old from the participating municipalities: Alpedrete, Collado Villalba, Colmenarejo, El Escorial, Galapagar, Guadarrama, Hoyo de Manzanares and Torrelodones.
The young participants will develop various forms of artistic expression such as photography, painting, drawing, printing techniques and sculpture. Works can be submitted individually or in groups and will be accepted in digital format as long as they are presented in physical format. The circuit is presented as a great opportunity to publicize the artistic talent of young people throughout the northwest area of the Community of Madrid.
Those interested in participating must complete the registration form through www.plangalapagar.es and send by email to the address [email protected] the following documentation before next April 12:

- Signed registration sheet.

- An image of each work in JPG format in good resolution (with the title of the work as the file name).
Once you receive the acknowledgment of receipt of the email, the works can be presented at the Punto Joven de Galapagar (Calle Guadarrama, 68) from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The works must be delivered as stated in the rules to be admitted.
Among participating authors, the following non-cumulative cash prizes will be awarded:

- Prize for best work presented at Galapagar: €250
-
- Prize for best local artist work: €150
-
- Third selected work prize: €100
In addition, the Youth Department of the Galapagar City Council will distribute the following prizes among its contestants:

- Junior Prize of €100 in artistic material for young people between 14 and 17 years old.

- Special Prize of €100 in artistic material intended for young people with functional diversity, as long as they are from Galapagar or are linked to entities that work in the municipality.
