Heading towards the last date to close the first round of the Clausura 2024 tournament, Águila won the Migueleño derby by defeating Dragón by the minimum at the Juan Francisco Barraza stadium. Alianza narrowly lost against Fuerte and moved away from the lead in the table and Municipal Limeño, thanks to a single goal against Jocoro, consolidated its position in first place.
The Migueleño derby on date 10 turned black-orange, this after Águila won by the minimum, and thanks to Dustin Corea’s goal, at 37′, against the purslane team. The feathered ones continue to advance squares and finished in position 9 with three wins, three losses and three draws.
With Luis Canales’ solitary goal, in the first 10 minutes of the game, El Fuerte San Francisco handed the Alliance team its third defeat at the Correcaminos stadium. El Fuerte walks in the tournament in the eleventh place of the table, while Alianza moved away from the leadership of the tournament after being defeated by the San Francisco Gotera team.
Municipal Limeño continues to win and revalidated its leadership in the standings for one more date, by winning by the minimum and thanks to Gilberto Baires’ goal in the 64th minute, against Jocoro. The roosters faced the jaguars and beat the Calero team by the minimum with the goal of Daniel Arevalo (38′), a result with which Platense reached second position in the table with 20 points and was one point away from reaching the team. Lima in the leadership.
Santa Tecla and Firpo, one of the series that took the most prominence during the tenth day when it ended with a draw with six goals, in the return of the bottom team to the Las Delicias stadium. The green parrots were left with the partial advantage at the end of the first half, after goals from Eduardo Rivas at 16′, another by Alan Ocón at 25′ and another by Mario Martínez at 39′. However, the Usulután bulls made the comeback thanks to the triplet of Mateus da Silva (53′, 88′ (p), 90+11′ (p)), the first player in the tournament to score three goals in a single game.
Another match where points were shared was in the unusual match between the Tigrillo team and 11 Deportivo, which ended 2-2. Like Santa Tecla, the border tank let the three points go after Néstor Renderos, at 10′ via penalty, and Jonathan Nolasco (17′ Gec) gave the visiting team the advantage, since in the second time Rafael Tejada scored a double at 59′ and 78′ via penalty to recover a point in the series against the tank.
The game received strong criticism because in one of Once’s last plays, around 90+5′, when the team was approaching Kevin Carabantes’ goal, the grass sprinklers turned on and the play was forced to stop.
