The play “Pink Flag» displayed today, Friday 03/08, by the municipality of Athens on the facade of the City Hall, with the aim of raising awareness and strengthening empathy in the field of gender equality, thus honoring International Women’s Day.
The project belongs to the visual artist Georgia Lale and had triggered various reactions in the Greek political scene, during its exhibition at the Consulate General of Greece in New York a few months ago. The pinnacle was the removal of the flag, following the intervention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and personally of Giorgos Gerapetritis.
