PDIP politician Dahlan’s artery has the potential to lose his seat in the DPR RI for the 2024/2029 period. The incumbent legislative candidate may fail to go to Senayan because other candidates have a higher number of votes than him.
As reported by detikJatim, the East Java KPU has completed the recapitulation of the 2024 election votes, Monday (11/3) morning. As a result, Arteria Dahlan, who ran in the East Java Election District VI (Tulungagung, Blitar Regency/City, Kediri Regency/City), certainly did not qualify.
“Thank God, today is the last day we held a recapitulation at the provincial level and 38 districts/cities have finished reading out the results of their respective recapitulations at the district/city level before the provincial plenary meeting for 11 DPR RI electoral districts and 14 Provincial DPRD electoral districts, as well as the Presidential Election and Vice President, and DPD individual election districts,” said East Java KPU Chairman Aang Kunaifi to journalists at the Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya, Monday (11/3/2024).
Arteria only received 62,242 votes. Internally in the PDIP, its position is in third place below other cadres. His votes were far below newcomers Pulung Agustanto who received 165,869 votes, and Sri Rahayu who received 111,284 votes.
With this composition of votes, PDIP has the potential to only get two seats. Pulung Agustanto and Sri Rahayu have the potential to occupy the 2 seats. The number of seats won is one less compared to the 2019 election which won 3 seats.
For your information, the East Java VI electoral district has a quota of 9 seats.
