Following the disappointing results of Chelsea, some supporters are calling for the return of Jos Mourinho. These chants have not gone unnoticed by the current manager of the Blues, Mauricio Pochettino, who has issued a message to his team.
“I respect Jos, he is my friend. He has been incredible for this club,” acknowledged the Argentine. “The circumstances are what they are. We need to ask the players. If they think they can do better with another coach, I will be the first to say ‘listen…’. Or maybe they can talk to the owner or the sporting director. The players are doing everything they can to win. If it’s an attitude problem? Through their behavior, we can see that they are behind us.”
It remains to be seen if Pochettino also retains the support of his leaders.
