/ world today news/ Taiwan recently adopted unilateral discriminatory bans, restrictions and other measures on products coming from the Chinese mainland, which is in violation of the provisions of the Framework Agreement for Economic Cooperation (FCEA) between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
The Commission on Customs Tariffs of the State Council published a communiqué in which it presented its decision to suspend preferential tariffs for several products from the RSIS. From January 1, 2024, new tariffs will apply to 12 imported products from Taiwan, such as propylene and paraxylene. Mainland China hopes that Taiwan will take effective measures and remove inappropriate customs restrictions.
