Two teenagers in Sidoarjo are suspected of being victims of a beating in the early hours of Sunday (10/3/2024). In this incident, one teenager died and another had to undergo treatment in hospital.
From the information gathered, the two teenagers had the initials AM (17), a resident of Sukodono and LH (20), a resident of Taman. Both of them were found helpless and seriously injured on Jalan Pahlawan, Sidoarjo on Sunday at around 03.00 WIB.
Doctor Ahmad Yudianton, a forensic doctor at Pusdik Bhayangkara Porong Hospital, stated that the victim AM, who died at the scene of the incident, had an autopsy carried out.
The forensic team said that the 17-year-old teenager died due to blunt force trauma. With wounds spread across the face, neck, chest, arms and legs.
“On internal examination, it was found that there was a fracture on the left side of the head and also blood on the brain. “There was also a fracture to the chest bone, which caused bleeding in the chest cavity,” confirmed Ahmad Yudianto, Monday (11/3/2024).
Yudianto said the victim suffered the most serious injuries to his chest. Several bones in the area were broken, causing blood to rise to the brain.
“We concluded from the results of the examination that the cause of death was blunt force to the face, which caused a skull fracture, as well as bleeding in the brain,” he said.
Now the Sidoarjo Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still investigating the case, in order to uncover the alleged beating of the two teenagers.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Agus Sobarnapraja, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Sidoarjo Police, stated that his party had formed a special team to investigate this incident.
