Libreville, March 10, 2024 (AGP) – After the first visit of teams from the Gabon Energy and Water Company (SEEG), on January 17 to the Alhambra cities in the Commune of Akanda, in accordance with its installation control operation and compliance, it is clear that some residents of the so-called Alhambra cities persist with direct connections.
Obviously, the recent arrest of certain residents does not frighten the crooks who think they are “smart”. Indeed, according to local residents, the latter, without meters, find themselves in homes lit up at night.
“This observation surprised us and disturbs us enormously. We set about obtaining our meters, we lost household equipment, splits, food and other appliances in this muscular operation of the SEEG, which is of course within its rights 7 years after the current gift that we received. But others still cheat. This is not normal, nor fair. Let the SEEG come back and check house by house, those who are still committing fraud,” said a resident, speaking anonymously.
In view of the above, would there be direct connections well buried which would have escaped the vigilance of the SEEG teams during their visit? a question which would serve as support for Seeg in order to backpedal in this Alhambra city, “the legendary incivist” since the establishment of this social housing project.
As a reminder, these direct connections cause losses ranging from 30 to 50 billion per year to SEEG. Which company should put in place better strategies to track down these counterfeiters. A regular patrol day and night will be necessary.
