Estepona City Council Announces Expansion of Educational Offer with New Baccalaureate Lines at Juan XXIII School

The Estepona City Council reports that the city’s educational offer will be expanded starting next year with the incorporation of two baccalaureate lines at the Juan XXIII teaching center.

This was announced by the territorial delegate of Educational Development and Vocational Training and University, Research and Innovation of the Government of Andalusia, Miguel Briones, during a visit he made today to the Juan XXIII school together with the deputy mayor of the Sociocultural area, Paula Herrera, the director of the Natividad María Cortés center and the president of the Victoria Foundation, María Jesús Floriano. Briones explained that the Juan XIII school will provide two lines of Baccalaureate in the modalities of Sciences and Technology and Humanities and Social Sciences.

On the other hand, the territorial delegate wanted to remember the launch of the first Elementary Conservatory of Music in Estepona for the next academic year 2024/25, the result of the agreement between the Ministry and the town’s City Council. “These teachings, while not being mandatory, are fundamental for the integral development of our society and for the promotion of the productive fabric of Andalusia.” The Conservatory, which will be based on the two lower floors of the Mirador del Carmen Sociocultural Center, will accommodate around 150 students once the four Elementary courses are implemented. Briones has confirmed the new authorizations for this center in the instrumental specialties of clarinet, guitar, piano and saxophone.
